Join Us in 2024

Come to learn about creative ITS implementation solutions for your community. We looking forward to an outstanding response to our call for abstracts and to build a very strong technical program for the Rural ITS topics to be integrated into the 2024 program.  The technical program will paint an optimistic picture of our transportation future, centering on practical examples of recent advances and upcoming opportunities. With Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funding programs now in a third year, explore some real-world success stories, highlight new technology and innovation, and frame many of the conversations around our core and emerging areas of rural transportation practice. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate how people-oriented planning and engineering can have positive impacts on our lives by improving safety and mobility.

We will be again joining ITE in 2024 as part of their in-person Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will be integrating some new ideas and networking events. Moving toward the conference dates in the summer of 2024, additional information will be forthcoming. The National Rural ITS Conference will provide participants a one-stop resource focusing on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) implementation in rural and local communities and the opportunity to hear new and thoughtful perspectives from a wide variety of ITS-related topics.

ITS improves transportation safety and mobility and enhances productivity by integrating advanced communication technologies into vehicles and infrastructure. Public and private transportation, transit, tourism, enforcement, freight industry, emergency responders engaged in the operations, maintenance, and use of our transportation system should attend the National Rural ITS Conference + Exhibit.

The conference accommodates a multitude of learning styles all designed to enhance and enrich your experience. The many different training and networking opportunities available through this event will provide participants with the tools necessary to effectively plan and deploy ITS technologies within their own jurisdictions.
